I found this Sunday on a ridge overlooking Hartville, Missouri. On the exact spot Confederate artillery were set to blast away at the town below during the Battle of Hartville. The brass spur looks like a US Model 1859, but the edges of the neck are not as smooth as those I have seen in photos online. Any help IDing it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Sub 8-)

It sure looks like one .. that design is most commonly associated with the western theater.
