Three piece mold, dimple pontil mark. I did not find this one, from an antique store. Thanks. IMG_1367.JPG

The short answer is yes.
Could be for even earlier.
They are often referred to as Black Glass Ales.

Thanks. Someone once taught me the necks had to be absolutely straight, but I have 18th century bottle with this shape of neck. There is a bottle show in Baltimore March 5, think I'll try to get to it.

That Balto show is one of the best on the East coast.
I'm on the West coast and would love to attend that one.

I got 2 of nearly the same bottle (I am almost sure they are 3 piece if I remember correctly)! According to the tag at the antique when I bought them, they were found in an 1830's shipwreck near either Bermuda or the Bahamas, I forget. The dealer had around 2 more but I never got them, I regret doing so because they only cost 15 dollars each. I would say yours is probably the same type as mine.

Most of the ones I have purchased were inexpensive also.
