what ever works
We found several flat buttons like the one on the left at a old foundation .
The object on the right is the size of a half dollar
It seems to have a lead back ,its heavy The front is smooth with beveled edges.
There is no shank on the back but something was mounted to the back , slightly off center.
If it is a button how old might it be. Thanks Mike

Yes it looks like a button :P and there seems to be a pattern on the front, do you know what it's made from, it looks like pewter :icon_scratch:

This ones quite similar, and has a rim, which I think yours has...also the back is like the one you found :) the date is 17c and is made of lead alloy.
