Looks like some sort of concrete or masonry anchor to me. Its missing half its wings and don't know what else. It doesn't look firearms related. What is it made of...?

Its 1 inch long and 0.375 thick at the top,its tapered and its made out of lead.

Had you said it was copper instead of lead, the answer would be an origian Remington "copper solid" 12ga saboted deer slug.

No rifling marks, machined copper slug with notched sections exactly like in your picture.

(unlike the current version which appear to use a Barnes Bullets projectile)

Could be a expanding bullet? Sometimes the jacket comes off and just leaves the lead ???

I'm 100% positive your item is the slug from
an old style Remington 12ga "Copper Solid" saboted deer slug.
I believe this one was purchased in 1994.
