Hello TNet family, I found this item about two inches below the grass on a park baseball field. It was curled inside of itself when I found it. Appears to be aluminum, and is engraved on the outside as follows,

GOOD LUCK
D. U. AU 2430

There are no markings or other substances inside of the band. It is 3 1/2" long (unrolled) and 5/8" tall. Thanks for any help you can give me, Cheers! Sub 8-)

That band would be a large replica of an actual duck or goose band and was given to a person attending a ducks unlimited banquet fundraiser as a random raffle entry number to be drawn for a raffle prize. An actual bird band would have a number and a phone number usually to call and report a harvested bird for migration study purposes. Hope that helps.

Thank you very much, fishnnut. I will consider this one solved! Happy Hunting, Sub :headbang:

I think it is a novelty piece as I could not match it with any known bird band.
