Hello everyone im totally new to this forum but I ll do my best to adhere to the rules. Last year I found this object which I think is an arrowhead but I'm not sure. I found it on the coast of Galveston, TX. It is about 3/4 inch long and appears to be carved but I'm not sure. The first picture is the front and the second is the back. Interestingly enough i found it on the same day and in the same place in which I found a horse tooth. Anywho if it is an arrowhead any idea what kind it is and what Indian tribe made it? Thanks for your help. image.jpgimage.jpg

Yes, in my opinion it is a point. It has been broken. But the one side and the bottom tell me it is an arrowhead. What tribe or kind, I do not know. Here in New Jersey the relics are completely different than in other parts of the country.

I agree. It looks like a very small one for hunting birds. Broken as said above

Agree, it's an arrow head. Did you find it? If so, we'd like to hear under what circumstance you found it, creek? field? accident? on purpose? etc.

Sorry yes I found it on accident. I was digging right on the shore of the shipping channel. Basically a beach. I honestly don't think I even noticed it right away. I just remember scooping up some muddy sand and seeing it as i sifted through. I thought "hmm this looks kind of like an arrowhead I'll keep it" haha.
