I bout a Tracker IV about a month ago, and sure that I like this hobby. I don't mind to buy more expensive
machine - but will it be any better?
The Tracker IV have automatic ground balance and should be good for any ground condition- from black sand
to the salt beach. (BH promice it and I believe them for now). I also just odered 10" and 4" coils.
As I understand, current 8" coil finds coins on 8" dip, and large objects up to 3 feet dip. The only problem in
my opinion - is not clear "broken tone" for pull tabs. But with 4" coil they promice more clear audio.
With 10" coil (I hope to use it on the beach) they promice more deepness (10"? 12"? 14?) they don't say how much, and more accurate pinpointing. I guess it will be bad audio - but on the beach everybody dig ALL signals
any way...
Well, I don't know how deep is the target... But with this detector I just check after 1-st scoop- if target
is still in the soil. If yes - make a 2-nd scoop and so on. I'm sure I can live without this future. And I see only
positive reviews on this machine:
http://metaldetectorreviews.net/detectors/65-1-tracker4.html
and "different opinions" on expensive machines.
Please, can anybody to explain me - what exactly is better in expensive detector?
- If they read diper? Then, what deepness is nessesary for most tresuares?
- Do they really have something important that I can"t achive with this machine - or they just more
convinient and "cool"?
P.S. I think about whites DSX - but find out that it requered more programming then treasures hunting itself...
And too complicated for me, I gess.
Thank you for any info...
