Is there Gold in the Central East section of Alabama???

I'll be passing through this area, and was wondering if anyone knows about gold being located in this part of the state. Outside of detecting, I'd like to try some panning while I'm in the area. I'd appreciate any advice you all have to offer!

yep Alabama Gold Camp in Cragford Alabama on the eastern (central)side of the state. nice place good/easy roads,cabins trailer hookups and a website but i forgot it so just do a goggle search for alabama gold camp in cragford Alabama
