I believe if the EPA had their way, we'd all be living in antiseptic bubbles
(bubbles must be EPA approved, of course!)

2 ounces of spilled mercury force Lysander family from home | syracuse.com

"SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Two weeks after children playing with mercury spilled some of the liquid
metal at a Lysander home, state and federal officials are still cleaning up the hazardous material.

Friends and neighbors are taking up a collection for Dan and Rebecca Ewald and their three
children, who temporarily moved out of the house at 3249 Greenleafe Drive where the spill occurred."

Rest of the story is at the link.

Chemistry is your friend. Calling the EPA was a bozo move but kids tracking liquid mercury throughout your home is truly poisonous. I hope mommy didn't try to vacuum the mess up. :BangHead:

Heavy Pans

They will condem the home and tear it down if they get their way!

Thats why Canada Got rid of all there Gold. They thought it Would Attract all the Mercury. And they would have to close the country down.

The EPA seemed to respond quicker to 2oz of mercury dropped onto a concrete slab than the 300 million gallons of toxic waste they let loose into the Animas river.

Political BS

Did you notice Rob that it was back east in New York? People there don't usually have to deal with their excess on a regular basis like we do "out west".

A good hazmat crew would have had that little spill cleaned right up in no time. If EPA is handling the cleanup...it could take YEARS and hundreds of thousands of tax payer dollars!!!!
