Is it me or are there recently substantial reduction in posts
more specifically
what is it, what's it worth.
it seems to me theres an increase of silly posts that we can see thru.
Sorry, it just a thing ive noticed.
TN is a huge crutch for me right now at the most difficut time of my life.
TN is like a life line, distraction daily.

Reduction in posts and especially finds.

Could be just the fact that folks aren't getting the permissions, or trying to obtain them.
It's also a busy time of the year with the spring things to get in the ground, clean up, doing the outside stuff.
Though like you said Mike it's a great distraction from the weird world we're all in this past year.

Covid cut down a lot of the detecting in Florida, at least for beach hunters. No storms and no crowds on beaches equals very poor detecting on beaches of Florida...

Yea, I was a bit worried about the banner slumber and then all of a sudden, it took off and in a matter of a few days that beautiful CSA plate is about to move on over. I think these things come in like the tides....we just gotta wait for it to rise . Hang in there, it is tough times for most of us.

I got a zillion quarters at the beach this weekend, one piece of jewelry but the beach sweepers had already been through. Got a bunch of plastic sand toys and gave them to a little girl that was there.

Baseball season. Two kids playing means we are at the ball fields 4-5 days every week. Surly I’m not alone.

A lot of "specific interest" facebook groups, metal detecting groups, youtube channels, etc.

All the fields I hunt are planted and besides, it has gotten too dang hot to detect. If the creek and river levels drop that is where I will be!

I been out for like a year due to injury - I hope to get out soon and try harder for you :icon_thumleft:

Fields are planted here so no go. Hay field across the road about to get cut. My next detecting spot after hay is put up. Hurry up and wait. Gary

lots of people are cool weather hunters thus the reduction on items posted. As for " silly post" schools out for summer and the boys gotta post them rocks..

I've been pretty busy and I admit to not posting or replying. We had such a wet spring here in Missouri that the woods and non-manicured spots that I can typically hunt through June just blew up with vegetation too fast. I do really enjoy this site and like Mike said, TNet interactions have helped me through rough patches.

The fields are planted here also, so my finds drop dramatically now until Fall. Also, I have not been doing hardly any door knocking because of Covid. Most people probably wouldn't even open their door to listen to me ask permission, as of now. Just been hitting the same old parks which have been beat to death.

It is not just here where posts have declined. All the other detecting forums are seeing less participation over the last few years.

Its Summer and opening up....been busy sorting everything , so not as much time to post...
