Do you have a known genuine morgan or peace? or even an ike.

Are the diameters the same? Do they stack evenly?

Get your silver ear out, and ping test that sunnufagun

Same diameter as a crappy old one which I paid twice as much before....seems thicker......sounds the same to me......just seems way too nice for the price

Nothing that stands out to me as fake, its going to be natural that it will be thicker than one worn to heck.

What does it weigh?

Its not going to be that unusual that a circulated Morgan like that would be sold for spot. Its a good price, but certainly not a "too good to be true" price.

Too good to be true would be 5- 10 dollars.

20 bucks or so a good price. not the best ever, as melt is somewhere near 16 dollars.

Unless it's a key date, buddy, it's probably real.

I am showing melt at 18.50....it's tou gh to get Morgans around here without a huge premium....maybe im in a bad area to get good deals on morgan dollars

Morgans are for sale for ~ 32 dollars at the coin shop

They are 25 dollars if they are giving you a friendly price.

They are melt if someone really just wants to get rid of them

They are 5 bucks if a crack head sells them to you.

That is my lession in morgan dollar magic.

BTW - you can get them online, culls, for ~$27 each, if you buy 100

Gotta love those coin collecting crackheads. And alliteration.

It's common for fakes to be thicker to make it weigh the same as a silver one. That seems a little to thick. Also try the tissue test to see how it compares to another silver coin about the same brightness. Good luck

Easiest test in the world and foolproof - flick them in the air and compare the sound. silver always sounds the same

That thing looks almost untouched- the edges are almost pristine- that to me is an indication of something fishy- but what do I know?

It's real, I'll bet a peace dollar on it.

I paid $19 for a 1885-CC PL that would probably grade 63 the other day. This looks real to me.
