Is it, or is it not a mountain, and if so, which one?

Was out today, and one of the items that I found was this small little tie tac item that appears to be a mountain. It has no writing on it, either front or back. It is not in the shape of a perfect triangle, but the colorization on it gives me the idea that it is supposed to be a mountain. At first, I thought that it was to represent Colorado, but what mountain items I have seen from that state are usually made to look like several mountains, and not just one.

Or, am I completely wrong, and this is a pin from some type of lodge or other group?

Sorry about the first picture being a little blurry, but it gives you an idea as to its' size. In the second picture, I've put a clip on the back of it, and that's the reason it looks like it has a sun burst around the pin.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for looking.

Well, comming from colorado and hiking a few of those 14,000 foot elevated monsters (four-teeners) They call them. Ill bet It's Pikes peak outside of Denver but, There are quite a few of these (four-teeners) 54 to be exact. Hard to say which one it is. If you must know, send a pic of that to the Rocky Mountain National Park Rangers station In Estes Park CO. They are good folks there, that would be happy to tell you where it came from. And some history as well! cheers

Pikes Peak is outside Denver allright, in fact it's at Colorado/Manitou Springs. My Uncle lives in the Springs right at the base of Pikes Peak! I think it's the Pike also. Monty

Maybe it's a MOLE HILL if so you shouldn't make a mountain out of it ;D

It did sorta cause a mountain of a problem didn't it?

I think what you have is a Webelos Activity pin. For older cub scouts (Webelos), the activity pin is sort of like a merit badge for boy scouts.

The mountain pin is the Geology activity pin.

You might be right. It sorta looks the same, and could be a earlier version than the one pictured. Thanks, I'll look into it further.

I was a cub scout den leader for a few years. I am about 99% sure that that is what you have. The size is right and the actual pin does not look exactly like the drawing.

It makes sense. I just didn't think that it was Pike's Peak, but since we aren't that far away from it, I was just going to let it be that. But I've found other scouting stuff in the area where this pin came from, so I think I will go with this being a Webelo item. Thanks again.
