🔎 UNIDENTIFIED Is it just a flat rock?

My daughter found this on a New Hampshire beach. There appears to be a continuing cut line in the stone that doesn't show in the pictures. It is very similar to the image from Pinterest claiming to be a fishing weight. The notch is so large though, seems like a waste of effort. What do you think? Thank you for the looks and ID. GM
