Is it flint or petrified wood, possible to be both?

Found this colorful jagged rock in a field yesterday while looking for a lost arrow. Seems to have some of the looks of petrified wood but also resembles flint also, any opinions?


Seems to fit the hand fine also, could this be like a small hammer as well?

Looks like opalized or agatized wood. Looks like the type that is found in the south west.
