The thing on the top left is part of a kids ring. At least most of them I have seen were on a ring band. Yours seems a little simpler, not as many lights as I normally see on these.

It has several LED lights and when you screw it together and engage the batteries, the lights blink brightly in different patterns. It's pretty cool, especially in the dark. It's really bright.

This has been outlawed in some schools as it can make an eppileptic person go into seisure... seriously.

I have found maybe ten of these but only one that actually worked. The others were dead, batteries fried or only found the top half.

I remember those LED light things from back in the 70's
(about the time magnetic earrings for non pierced ears were big...)

must of looked like a bunch of fun on the disco dance floor ;)

Actually I do have young kids. The item you found is called among other things a faux piecer, at least that was the label it had on it when my daughter bought two of them. The idea was to put the light on the front of the ear and the little metal plate on the back side and the magnet would hold it in place. The instructions said you could do the same with clothing, stick it on metal toy (actual wording from package) toy to be fun fun fun (again actual wording) We had about twenty of them at one point but as everyone knows a two year old likes to put everything in their mouth and my daughter had to dispose of them to keep little brother from choking himself. And yes they did make rings out of them and necklaces as well and last year at halloween one of the chain stores had ghosts, witches and other odd monsters on them for sale.

My kids are all grown up. I do however have some grandkids that I would be willing to give you.

And now for the more grisly post:

Know what that thing is on the right, in the middle? It's a human tooth (more correctly a cap). It is made of stainless steel with a ceramic overlay, and is bonded over a post. I had one before I got an implant. See if you can find the rest of the skull!

Best,

Mike

Take a look at the unidentified flying object just over the right side of the lip of the blue bottle in my picture. Seems to be hovering over the horizon. Maybe it came from that.

I got one of these rings last weekend and as mastereagle said, there are other jewelry applications, earrings and stuff.
Keep em coming Rick!
