Found this coin on last Sundays hunt and have been working on ID and cleaning ever since. One side has a Guy with a colonial wig,(I believe), holding a gun or cythe. His 2 feet are stars. There are 2 more stars to the left, and one each around his head that I can make out. The other side has more design that I can't really ID, but seems to have a date. Gotta clean more of the crud off, but believe it says "1789". The date is still covered and looks kind of crudely made. But under magnification it appears as "1789". The "7" and the "9" are longer than the other 2 digits. Coin is the size of a dime but is actually quite heavy. Has the tiny lines you would see around the rim of any other coin. What the HECK did I find NOW!!.
. Will clean a little at a time but DO NOT want to put it in peroxide as the top coating is flaking off in spots. Will post better pics as I clean very slowly and over a couple more days. IP----This is the one I was talking about.
