is a 2010 250 better then a 2005 250?

Is todays 250 better then a 2005 250. I mean I see that there always trying to improve the chips but does anyone know if they upgrade it over the years fine tune to speak.

I don't know about the electronics, but I bought mine in 2009 and it does not have looseness at the bottom of the shaft and has no big problem on salt water beaches as I have read so much about. I feel that those problems have been improved.
