Iron

My buddy and I hunted around this early 1900's house today. The house was divided in two, half barn and half house. Must of smelled great inside. I saw a huge black snake slither into the rocks of the old fireplace. Found a bunch of iron: 2 axe heads, a hoe, a pick axe, and a couple plow pieces. When I got home I picked over a dozen ticks off of me.

Keep that spray handy and use it often especially if you're stationary for any period of time.
The site looks like it has some nice potential...more if you have a weed wacker or some commercial grade Round-Up.

My buddy hit that place two or three times in the past couple years with his E-Trac. He did not find much and we did not find anything of value on this trip. Don't think I will return to this site. It's going to be houses soon anyway.

I only had 15% deet, going to need something stronger if I keep digging this summer. I have to remember to tuck my pants into my boots too.

Scrap iron bringing about $10 / 100lbs. My son dropped off just over 1000lbs for $103, today.

I don't mess too much with the iron but we did find a nice brass pipe fitting at about 2 pounds. I hang on to brass and copper.

get some permenon, it kills ticks,mosquitos,spiders,etc. last 2 weeks on your clothes and does not wash off. I used it kill our chinese ladybug infestation. 3 steps then they die.

It's a huge piece of a plow, the biggest I ever found.
