Colonial Spacely Sprocket. Not to be confused with the later, (and lesser quality) Cogswell Cog.

Sorry Garabaldi. Thought you were aware that my answer was an obscure reference to The Jetsons, a popular Hanna-Barbera cartoon from 1962.
My real guess would have something to do with a saw mill. Maybe a chain gear/sprocket of some sort. As I look closer at the teeth though, It seems to be a gear and not a sprocket. A sprocket is usually driven by a chain.

:laughing7: That went over my head. Thought it was odd that when I googled "Colonial Spacely Sprocket" the jetsons kept coming up. :icon_scratch:
Thanks

Could it be from a well? Just a wild guess.

It's an interesting sprocket.

The thing that gets me with this sprocket is that it seems it mounts onto a big bolt head or something. The center is 6 sided. :icon_scratch:

Is there anything on it that looks like it had a set screw of some type in it?

That's great!

But, don't I see a set screw? (that's why I asked if there was a place for a set screw).

Looks like the gear on the manure spreader at the farm. I know its old and got a flat chain.
Will try to get a picture.
