I am wondering what kind of tool head this might have been? The long metal piece with a curved end was near it. It was near a pile of metal odds and ends, including a Spicer stove made in Prov., RI. (1896).

The best part if this hunt was finding a lost tractor part. The owner knee where to look and it had been missi for 10 years! It was found in the first 5 minutes!

Thanks!

That Patent Plate Rack from Spicer Stove Company is a splendid find .. I think they are worth a few bucks, too!

Hammer could also be a blacksmith's hot chisel?

Thanks, Tony. Hmmm It does also look like this. So the cross peen hammer and the blacksmith’s hot chisel do have similar shapes. Thank you.

I agree with Tony, because it has a small hole for the handle and the head has been mushroomed. Striking hammers won't get mushroomed like that.
