✅ SOLVED Iron?tin?button?

002.JPG003.JPG005.JPGFound this awhile back.Has the exact same size, as far as roundness,as a typical 18th century button.But is about as thick as if you would see if you put two Washington quarters together with what rust is left on it and is very light.Might be my imagination but appears to have what looks like could be hound dog? on front center.Back has what looks like a shank to me.I would almost swear it is a button,but i have never seen anything like it,Iron?tin? button?.I placed it next to flat button and quarter for scale.
 

Thanks man.That would be awseome!But did they make them out of iron or tin?I would guess tin as light as it is?.

I am no expert on buttons although i do collect civil/indian war buttons i have seen many tinback buttons stands to reason they used it on the front of some
