Iron Sword or Dagger point

Hi All,
Found this iron point - probably the end off a dagger, sword, spear or some other 'Stabbing' instrument - few metres from an old Roman road.

Nice find, I would think it is to big for a dagger, my guess would be a piece from a sword?

Being a measured 1.5" wide that includes all that rust build up....I say its a dagger.

How do you hook your typewriter up to the internet?

Imported pics into photo editing program (I used Adobe Photoshop in this case) Add text to the image with the computer keyboard and then save the whole thing back as a picture before I upload it here - dead easy!

Thanks Mike - I think a trip to the local museum for advice might be on the cards - Could it be Roman?
