It has two holes in each bottom corner. It also has one small fiber around one of the holes. Could this have been tied to the end of a stick or pole? Or is it just a piece of an old fence or something? What do you guys think?

Matt,

Since the recent thunder and lightening storms are interfering with my x-ray vision, all I'm seeing is a triangular rusty blob...there is no reference as to scale, so you need to add a coin, ruler, tape measure or something for scale identification...

For proper identification you need to provide additional views...and maybe clean some of the rust away...

And yes, it could this have been tied to the end of a stick or pole...And yes, it could just be a piece of an old fence or something...

Or it could be a broken tine off of a farm impliment...so you need to provide additional info, like where it was found such as in a plowed farmer's field, a former industrial factory, a blacksmith's shop, or in a backyard of a city residence.

The more information you can provide, the quicker the item can be identified.

cutter blade for a sickle mower I think...I have found a few. Is it (was it) sharp on the point part?

Yeah, I think you guys are right. It was found in a couple year old soccer field/complex. The field is very flat (obviously) and may have been mowed/farmed prier to it being taken over by the park board.

It is about 3" wide by 3 1/2" tall. It does look like it had a sharp edge at one time.

Oh well, goes in the scrap pile I guess. I think this is SOLVED. Thanks guys!
