Iron riding stirrup

Wondering if there is a way to put an approximate age to this. I believe it's a stirrup. Definitely iron. Thanks in advance.

You are correct, it is a saddle stirrup. I'm no expert, but I have seen a lot of these over the years. I have not seen this exact form before. Looks to be hand forged. Based on similar identified and dated stirrups, I'd say this one is most likely from the 1700's. Nice find, Congrats!
