Measures 5 3/4" long x 2 3/4" across largest x 1" across smallest.
There are 2 iron triangle pieces inside large section. The point is worn off one of them.
1 side of main body has remains of 2 humps possibly attachment points?
Opposite side has 1 hump of iron remains.
Small end has remains of metal strapping?
Where strapping is missing the small end is fluted( or raised).
It is 1 solid piece of iron.
Difficult to describe.
Found at civil war period field that has many eras of trash.
Thank you for any input.

Man 'o' man ... now this has me scratching my head and maybe more cleaning ... looks sort of like a nozzle and the small/fluted/strapped side must have had a hose line of some kind attached and held in place by steel banding/strapping . The piece widens out maybe that is that side that was attached to another missing piece that fit somehow into the triangle and round piece . Then the taper would concentrate the PSI of whatever was pushed through it . Like the miners used to increase the water pressure from streams above to wash the soil away from mining areas below the stream above ... that being said , I think it's a nozzle of some sort ... it even could be a primitive or vintage fire hose nozzle cast in Iron ... IMHO , Woodstock
