Hi everyone. I found this wrought iron mold for making musketballs and not sure of the date range in which it was made/used? The pictures show several engravings, one side says "EMMONS 12" I think and the other side shows what I think is RUTHERFORD, but not entirely sure, my eyes are not that good. Maybe someone else can make it out better then me. Any input on the date range for this iron musketball maker is greatly appreciated!

The style pre-dates the Civil War. If it is marked 12 that would be twelve to the pound - or 12 gauge. 0.729"

May not be related to either war. There's a lot of US history in between wars.

I'd say it's 19th century, but for an individual, most likely not military issue.

I see GUNSMITH. and maybe BIDDEFORD

Looks like there may be more letters above GUNSMITH. Can't tell from the pictures.
