Have not had a chance to take examples as of yet. Any thoughts on this seam? It goes across almost the width of the river.

It sure appears to be a rock seam that is heavy in Iron. It would really be great to see the samples that you get from it! I have dug through Clay layers that were loaded with decomposing Iron that had decent amounts of Gold.

Frank, that was my first thought also and I'm hoping it is.

Interesting. Could be a vein of quartz that's has been stained by oxidation of iron.

Hey Brian.....You nailed it........Was out all day yesterday and got some samples and it is a iron stained quartz vein and by digging it appears to goes across the width of the river. Found some tiny flecks of gold associated with it. ( Pictures of samples attached )....Walked up & down the 2 claims and for me it's just amazing that there is bedrock layer all through the river and in places natural gold traps as in huge boulders.....Also a picture of two neat rocks found...
