Iron knife? Or farm tool?

Found it near an old foundation. It was about 5 inches deep and looks like some sort of old blade to me. Any clue what it is or possible age?

Yes, I've used one like that, had a wood handle and a bottle opener.

However I'm more inclined to think it might be a knife blade more that one with a handle.

looks like something that would be attached to possibly farm equipment to attach a chain to. for quick adjustments.
