Ok nobody knows either but I can tell you what I think it may be, the "o" means it's for casting cannonballs the "KF" stands for kirkbride ferry from where I found it. There was a ferry in the area in the colonial days, also found cannonballs and large cents from the period along with revolutionary buttons

I guess it's a pig iron ingot. That sucker looks huge! I would think the 'F' stands for 'furnace' unless it was a weight made for specific use at the ferry landing. I know there were many iron furnaces in southern NJ back then. I didn't find any called Kirkbride.

Can you (will you) give the county name where you found this?

Oxford Furnace is about 50 miles north of Burlington County and supplied TONS and TONS of cast iron to the region from the mid 1700's to the late 1800's.

Oxford Furnace was a furnace used for smelting iron located in Oxford Township, in Warren County, New Jersey, United States. Built in 1741, it was the third furnace in colonial New Jersey and the first constructed at a site where iron ore was mined. Other furnaces used ore extracted from bogs in South Jersey, impure deposits called bog iron. Oxford Furnace operated the longest of any of the colonial furnaces

Oxford Furnace and Shippen Manor are on the National Historical Registry. The furnace was restored 15 years ago and is open to the public. If your ingot does indeed say OXFORD, they may be interested in it for display in the museum.
