I've had several people ask me about the Deus and how it handles in iron, about my settings and the experience etc. So I recorded this for them to see. Easier to see it really. 83 sensitivity, 0 disc, 3 or 4 reactivity, as little silencer as possible and TRX power at 1 are the settings I use to try and get signals from this mess. 9" coil a must. 11" doesn't get anywhere near as many hits. A little 4 x 6 coil would be nice for trashy sites like this and also in between stubble and in the woods. Our woods are a sub tropical greenbriar paradise.

you're going to get brain overload like that where you tune out almost everything after a while. i would try upping the discrimination a little bit, like up to 5. that much won't hurt depth and will get rid of a lot of that iron chatter and you will still hear the good signals. IMHO... give it a try for 15 minutes and see if it helps.

Unfortunately adding any discrimination whatsoever kills some of the signals. I've definitely tried. So far no matter how many times I walk across the same spots I keep getting even more signals. Its a good thing. 5 disc is way too much for me for this site.

By the way I have kept all the stuff dug from this site inc the bits of lead and will count them once the season is over. We're somewhere in the 1200-1500 total targets dug which is way more than I have ever dug on a 1680-1740 site.

CP i m using Full tone on the Thames no problemo

I use descrim at 5 myself to but you have to figure out what works in your area. Sounds like you have for your site, nice job!

On the XP its not some certain program that works everywhere. Its all about learning to set up the machine for your type of hunting situation.
