Iron handle?

All, found this iron artifact near a home built by a Quaker family in 1833. The home has been inhabited ever since and the property farmed. Thought it could be a handle, as my hand fits between the 2 bolts. Any help w/ ID would be appreciated.

I agree some sort of farm implement part.

Some wagons had braces like this that would mount the sideboards to the wagon floor and also furnish a lashing point for ropes to secure the load.

All, thanks for the suggestions so far. It would make sense that it is from a farm implement of some sort. Never thought about a place to secure a rope to - so will look into that as well.
