Hurricane Irene blew through Central PA overnight and in to Sunday morning, we were a lot more lucky than those on or near the coast, we had 3½" of rain and a power outage for about 6 hours. As soon as the skies started turning blue again I headed for "Evil" park as Jeff calls it, of course I called Jeff on the way to say come on out and play but he declined, he was suffering a much longer power outage on his end of the valley.
The weather turned absolutely perfect when I got to the park, temp in the mid 70's with a mild breeze blowing and no humidity. I stayed for about 3 hours and had a great day. Finally broke my silver dry spell with a 1941 Merc and a silver ring that appears to have been homemade.
My take for the night; 6 quarters, 8 dimes, 9 nickels, 25 memorials, 5 wheats (1922, '39, '44 and 2 '53's), 1 1941 Mercury Dime plain, the ring and the big number 25 which looks like it would have been attached to a car at one time.
Happy Hunting!!
