Iowa Kmart workers open tin can, find $10,000

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) -- When employees of a Des Moines Kmart store finally opened a red tin can that had been sitting on the customer service counter for four days, they got a $10,000 surprise. The can contained $10,380 in assorted bills. Employees called police after opening the can Friday.

Authorities say Joe Heithoff may have been having a reaction to medication Nov. 29 when he inadvertently left a red tin can with $10,380 on the store's customer service counter.

wonder if the meds, had anything to do with why, he carried 10K around in a can
since he dosent use a debit card, maybe more is buried/hidden
i guess meds could be another reason, why money is buried or hidden

So is this now classified as drug money and subject to seizure?
