I've had the Invenio Pro since January 16, 2025. I had hoped to be out using it by now, but no such luck. There's only so much I can do inside my garage to learn the machine. Snow cover has really begun to melt in the last couple days, but the cold air seems to return when I am not at work. Saturday and Sunday in the lower to mid-thirties when I'm off. For some reason I just don't do well with the cold this year. It has been colder and windier than the last couple years though.
Anyway, my goal is to post a diary of my adventures with the machine. I'll post pics of recovered targets as well as images downloaded from the control box showing the targets in the ground. I did actually get a couple hours out in my side yard with the machine. Ground was mostly frozen, so I didn't dig anything, but I had one or two non-ferrous targets that showed 10+ inches deep. Unfortunately, I thought I had downloaded the images from the control box and deleted them. I had forgotten since the control box runs on a Linux system that I needed to use FAT 32 formatted flash drive. Mine was formatted NTFS for Windows. That was a bummer, but I’ll find the targets again.
The Invenio machine is more geared toward large items or hoards. I don’t have much of a chance of finding a hoard in my nek of the woods, but I do have the opportunity to find larger items. I have seen a few videos of the machine being used to find smaller items that were fairly deep. So, I’ll take my time and have some fun going over some of my permissions again using the Invenio and see what I find.
I have some experience making videos, so I thought about making a video of the machine in action. We’ll see how that goes.
