Hello everyone,this is a fantastic resource......... I recently retired from my Special Ed., teaching job and now find myself curious about this hobby.
I have recycled/re-purposed most of my lifetime. I am interested in finding better and more profitable ways to pass my time,
but I need to get into this hobby at a reasonable entry level cost.
Since I live in an urban area a cheap and cheerful metal detector seems the best way to start,
right now I'm looking at used ones and hope I've learned enough from the forum to test before I buy,
I am also quite interested in panning for gold, but I need help understanding the law;
I've found the gov't office for Prospectors licenses, but is what I find mine?
& the Ontario Dept of mines etc., also issues maps.
Great forum, look forward to bugging you folks with my newbie questions.......Regards Robt
