This has been the most intense year of my life! Between construction all day at work, building our own house in every spare moment possible after work, and raising a four year old, there hasn't been nearly as much time to detect. Today, after a bunch of painting, I took a much needed break. I found that where the sun is able to hit, the ground is soft enough to pry a frozen plug out. Amazingly we have no snow yet, but it's coming, and the ground is getting pretty solid. This was my last hunt for 2013.
I walked to a spot that seems to produce a good coin now and then, and it didn't take long to get a nice signal. The silver Roosevelt popped out, and a foot away the '49 Canadian dime was found. Then about 30 min later I got a great signal, and it sounded deep. I was shocked to see it was a 1902 Barber dime! I figured I was going to be skunked on Barbers this year, but here it was. I found many Canadian silvers from the Barber era this season, but no Barbers until today. Talk about ending on a high note, it's my last coin of the year lol.
