well i wasn't able to sleep very well last night so i found myself tossing and turning at about 5AM this morning and decided to go detecting. i went to a park in the area that is very old but rarely turns up anything good. its hard to believe that a park this old and this big could be hunted out, and i suspect that it isn't. maybe the good stuff is too deep for today's machines to hear them. at any rate, i got an iffy signal and dug down about 5 inches to find this Philippine coin from 1918 (a 1918 S to be exact). i thought it was a seated half dime when i first saw it since it is very small and silver. (smaller than a US dime). after coming home and rinsing it off it seems to be a Philippine 10 centavos coin! apparently the United States minted these coins for the Philippines and still does mint coins for them i think. i also found a 56 D Wheatie as well. not a bad morning since this place is usually a barren wasteland! ;D

After research, I found that your coin is 75% silver.

Hope you can cough up a few more keepers at that old park.
