My wife and I attended an auction yesterday. There were many old items, and new. It was a relatively large auction with 2 or 3 rings going at the same time depending on the items being auctioned.
This auction had every thing and then some, from cars and trucks to old butter churns. Some items I had never seen.
What attracted me were a few basic relics. We got there and the regular folks I see at auctions with relics where attending. Not all, but some since this auction had very few indian relics. I normally dont see the high end collectors at these auctions.
We stayed a while, and when some old cast iron figures came up we where googling to try to determine if they were reproductions or not.
She found this web site which also had a column by Col. John F. Berner. I knew John and trusted his opinion on relics.

Anyway besides his column this site has many other interesting topics which can be informative and give you hours of reading.
Make me wonder about a lot of the items in auctions.
