Interesting little find yesterday

Don't think it was a toy, could be a badge of some sort but no details to speak of on it. Anyone found anything like this? It doesn't look brass but more like a tin material or soft lead.

Looks like a mangled aluminum token. They are pretty common & have different businesses etc. on them. 4186_pd262160_th1.jpg

Bet that is what it is,a business token of some sorts. Not worth much but still better than Stinkin' Lincolns (which I found plenty of!) Thanks for the replies.
 

Anyone old enough to remember the penny arcades remembers these. You could stamp anything you wanted to on them. They are Aluminum.

Could possibly have some 12th corps association?Looking in some of these books I have quite a few 12th corps badges have been found in Tennessee.I am just wondering about the material it is made from?neat find

DigIron this was made of aluminum I believe and I'm leaning towards it probably bring an advertising token. A friend of mine did find a thin brass star in a circle a few weeks back,don't know if she got a positive ID on hers though.
