I went to an old homesite today. All that remained of the old place is the limestone chimney. I figured there might be some good coins around it. I don't imagine that it has been hunted much since it takes a 4X4 to get to it. Lots of rough roads. Anyways, I got a strong signal and it showed to be about 6 inches deep. I dug down to find what appeared to be brass knuckles. Not sure how they got there nor do I now anything about the age or value.
I didn't find anything else very interesting but I plan on going back this winter when the grass dies.
Just thought I would share this with ya'll.
