I've been on a double-digit streak of skunk boxes lately, from two different banks. Considered cutting back on ordering, as it's getting to be a drag. Imagine how despondent I felt when I opened up the first of two more and saw this:

Wow, a whole box of repacks! What joy. Opened up the second box, and thought it was the same; the rolls all looked to be badly crimped:

However, one of the rolls looked somewhat odd, so I took a closer look...

:o

Hadn't seen one of those in awhile! Started going through it, and ended up finding another Ben, 4 Walking Liberties, and 6 40%'s! The Walkers included a 1928-S and a 1929-D!

Took a long, long dry spell to produce these, but I'm glad I didn't give up!

Formerteller, I felt bad for you when I saw that first pick. Glad it came to a happy ending for you. I'm about where you were with the skunk steak blues. Friend of mine who has really figured it all out as far as crh recently did $15k halves and culled some decent amounts of silver. I bought a roll of 64's from him for $195. They were all from that search. He says his halves and the ones I search, come from the same place so that gives me hope. He only did that volume because he has a business and special bank relationships. He doesn't do it evey week or anything. I do two boxes per week. HH
