I just checked out the instruction videos on YouTube about the Garrett at pro I'm really excited to see my new AT pro in my hands and use it I was wondering does anybody know how long the 4 AA batteries last and is it advisable to get rechargeable batteries

I've had batteries (Duracell) avg. 20/24 hours of run time and never noticed any adverse affect on quality but changed them out when they get down to the last bar. I think temp. has more to do with battery life than run time. I've never used rechargeable batteries. Could be wrong but don't think they make then in 1.5v just 1.2. Usually find enough clad to keep me in batteries.

Improper voltage can be a problem, but rechargeable just stop working as there is no let off to warn you.
