0.JPG1.JPG2.JPG3.JPG4.jpg These old ink bottles were all found in the trap-door accessed crawlspace under my dining room floor. There are several cone shaped, an eight sided, and an igloo or turtle shaped ink bottle. They are circa early to late 1800s.

That is a neat little collection you have found under your flooring. I really like the 1870s inks in particular.

Nice collection you are accumulating!

That is very cool! When was your house built? Have you found anything else under there?

Nice stash of inks you found. I used to dig bottles and got a few inks here and there, you have some nice shaped ones.

Those are awesome! Congrats! :icon_thumleft: I really like the weird shaped one in the last picture, top middle. It's really different.

My house was built in the very early 1800s Crusty Shellback. I have found quite a few old relics and treasures under there and have posted a lot of them as (Under the Dining Room Floor). Thought I would research some of those finds and repost some of them as I go along.18839047_10203028232104905_4996615939649159004_n.jpg18920568_10203028249945351_4777089641340609097_n.jpg

Those are some fantastic finds, Mosh! What's the sided example say? It has more of the shape of a mucilage bottle. Have you found any pontils so far?

Oh, great 2moshers. Now you're going to have everyone ripping up their floor boards looking for bottles.:laughing7:

There are so many of those ink bottles, that the original homeowner must have been an author ! Great finds Moshers. Keep adding to the collection. I like the way you have them displayed.

Beautiful bottles and a beautiful home. Thanks for sharing!

Wow, that's awesome. Probably a privy buried in your yard somewhere!

I started as a bottle digger and collector 30 years ago. Now I just swing a detector and get bottles when they come out of the hole. You have a great collection of bottles there. Not the kind of bottles you find frequently where I am.

You’re lucky to have treasure right under your feet everyday without having to brave the weather.

Thanks for sharing and if you haven’t already done it, detect that yard hard and your neighbors yard as well if you can. The bottles say there is a lot of potential there.

Beautiful old ink bottles, congrats on the big discovery! :occasion14:
