Out for detecting this afternoon in the park that a detectorist 'coined' 'Walmart' because it's like one-stop detecting. My results bore that out. 5 IHPS, 2 wheats, a Buff, brass and copper rings, a Federal Artillery button (Alberts AY52) and what may be a tombac button (your feedback on the latter button is appreciated).

Great finds! I would agree that it's a tombac button, probably from the late 1700's or early 1800's.

Thanks Tim; cleaned the button with vinegar and baking soda.

Very productive coin hunt, cool buttons too! Congratualtions! :occasion14:

Thank you Trapperart and Professor for chiming in. A bit cold here on Sunday, but I have plans to get back there on Tuesday when it will feel like Spring. Stay tuned....more to come.

Hey Murray from Jersey. First...."Go O's", they'll win one yet this pre-season. For some reason, the coins on the south side of the park come up in great shape.

Nice greenies from Walmart. Looks like it was a fun day!

Hi Isaac. Walmart was running a special on "greenies" as we approach St. Patrick's Day. :icon_thumleft:
