Finally got out and got a chance to do some hunting around a place that I had my eye on for a long time. You know those kinds of houses that look like they will produce like crazy. I guess I just got too pumped up about this place. Built around 1880 with a barn dated to 1832 it looked like a great place. Started out finding this old lock. No marks or patent numbers on it but it just looks old. Any info on that one would be nice.

Went through the rest of the decent sized front yard with no wheaties or anything really to show. I was getting a bit worried about the "vibe" I had for this place. Then I got a penny signal, 70 VDI that dropped off to 50/51 VDI after opening the plug. My thought was correct and out popped a nice 1906 Injun. Right by the front door stoop. Then nothing ??? Went on to find a Poudre L Peggie tin. Must be for womens powder makeup. Not sure how old that is though.

Then the final thing that has me baffled. A cut coin or token. It is the size of a U.S. penny. One side has a RY and a wreath of some sort surrounding the outer edge. The other side has a horse facing to the left with some lettering of W A. It has some other letters as well around the edge like it was a coin but not too sure. The pics are hard to see but I was hoping someone might know of what this might be. I will post it on the Whatsit column as well. The Canada 25 center was given to me in some change at the movie store...My luck has to turn around now. Thanks for looking...Have a great hunt and be safe out there. jgas

That "half cent" looks like part of a Civil War era token. I'm sure someone will be able to help identify it.
