My Grandmother passed away recently and I inherited some coins from her. It's kind of bittersweet because one of these coins is from the 1800s and I always wanted to find my first 1800s coin myself with my Metal Detector I certainly did not want to get it this way. Here is a list of them below:

1893 Indianhead penny
1916 Liberty Head dime

Nine dimes spanning from 1946 to 1963 She told me that they were made without something copper or something I'm not sure

Four coins from Israel My grandfather got these when he went to The Holy Land I'm currently reserching them trying to figure out what they are

Sorry to hear about your grandmother. Which 1916 dime do you have, the "Barber" or "Mercury"? Both are Liberty dimes. If Mercury, do as savant365 said and check for that illusive d mint mark! As for your 9 1946-1963 dimes they were made of 90% silver (as was the 1916). Starting in 1965 the composition was changed to a copper and nickel blend over a core of copper.

It's a Barber Dime. when I was typing it I had typed Libertyhead and Barber so I erased Barber I completly forgot about The mercury dime being a libertyhead. I also found out that the four Israeli coins I have are 1 Shekel I had guessed that it might have been It has a goblet on one side with a 1 on the other
