Inherited a b/w George Washington photo button, old...

My grandmother gave me a small quarter size metal framed button, with a black and white image of George Washington. On the back is two reaised holes to put a straight pin through and fasten to your clothing. I know George Washington didn't have any political buttons but wondered if this could be a 100 anniversary button. The image of him is old and not as clear. Any ideas on this? Thanks!
