The hickoc is a common manufacturer of old buckles, they made silver, silverplate, pewter, and a few other types. I have a few with symbols i could not ID, i think they are custom made or something. Nice badges :o

As stated above Hickok was a very well known maker of buckles. If you do a google you will find a lot of them. I have found a few myself, but can't find out much info on them. From what I can tell, a lot of the buckles they made were very high priced, silver, & gold... One of the ones I found was brass, and the other I think is pewter, you can see them at this link:

The little buckle top center, I think is a suspender buckle. You can see one very similar to it a little over halfway down this page:

It's listed as Parris" Suspender Buckles. I have found one similar to it also, although the one I have has no markings on it...
Not sure if the ones without markings are from the Civil War era, or not, but evidently the ones marked Parris were...

Love the badges,,, those ones shaped like a star are awesome...
Not much help, sorry...
Good luck & Happy hunting~

Hey you guys are super!!! Jake and Leon a big thanks WTG. The sites are very informative.

Stoney, no markings on back my friend.

PBK nice to hear from you again. My research indicates they were given out at schools for fire prevention and good deeds in the 40's - 50's. I found one on school ground and the other in a yard across from a school.
