Hey guys! New here. I found a buckle of some kind a couple months ago, and would really appreciate it if anyone could give me some info such as time period and maybe place of origin. Thanks! image.jpegimage.jpeg

Describe the circumstance of the find, location, and any other information that may be relevant as a clue.

Thanks

Not so sure it's a shoe buckle, then just a small belt buckle. I'm thinking it's from the 1920s-30s era. Looks kind of art deco in design IMO.

It's an inch by an inch and a half, and found by an old house dating back to 1801, but also there is an old road nearby dating back to the late 1700s that both armies used during the civil war. Found on my family farm dating back to 1768 in Virginia.

Yea that's a really good guess because I have found several coins from that period, it just intrigues me because near it I had found an old brass snuffbox from the 1800s just feet from it.
