info on cobalt?

As a Potter that works in clay, I use cobalt oxide (black in color) and cobalt carbonate (purplish color). I never have seen the raw mineral cobalt, but you may want to check some pottery glaze or mineral websites. Let us know what you find!

thanx Claydog. didn't think about that. have looked at several sites on-line & haven't
t found anything yet. maybe this will help

It is found naturally only in chemically combined form. The free element, produced by reductive smelting...(look up in Wiki...)

thanx folks. it's nice to know when you have a question & can't find the answer, you can usually get it on TNet.

thanx homefires, um, that is kind of a scarey site! waste not, want not.
